The WEDC (Windcrest Economic Development Corporation) was established to promote the creation of new and expanded business activity and to promote a wide range of civic and commercial projects within the City.

WEDC projects and administrative costs are paid for exclusively from a dedicated .25 cent sales tax on retail sales in Windcrest. The .25 cent sales tax generates about $280,000 in annual revenue for current and future projects.

Any citizen or business representative having an idea on a project, which would contribute to business or community development, is encouraged to contact the WEDC Executive Director or a member of the Board of Directors.
